Babies, babies everywhere

You know, I have never had children of my own, so I have lived my life vicariously through my sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, friends, anyone else who has little ones. There is nothing better than the feeling you get holding a child and they look up at you with those big old eyes, trusting that you will make everything alright.

It makes you want to make sure the world is perfect, or at least a better place. Well, I am going to get another chance to hold a little one. My niece is now pregnant and today I got a chance to see her in all her pregnancy glory.


It was my perfect moment for the day.

This is Tiana, she is the one in the green. She is surrounded by two of her friends, Casey and Renee, also expecting. I look at Tiana, and I know she is a grown, married woman, but I still just see that little girl who used to climb on me in bed and try to coax me awake.

I remember her as a teenager coming to visit me in New York, and helping me to see the awesomeness of the city through her eyes. Now she is about to bring her own child into this world. That is truly awesome. And she is lucky in that she is going through this life changing experience with her friends. They are all due within four months of each other, all experiencing it together. How cool is that.


And I would be remiss if I did not show you the proud fathers. Lal, Lee and Ike are also good friends, and future softies. You know good and well who will be controlling things in their household. Get used to it guys, it's not you!
