South Mountain Warrior: Sue on top of the hill and on top of world.
"Nothing hurts more than sitting on a couch."
That's an ad slogan from New Balance right now .. . and everytime I see it, it hits home.
This has been our Year of Sitting on the Couch. Way too much sitting.
I know what sparked it. Health scares led to fear. Fear of moving. Fear of getting an already taxed heart stressed. Fear of spending too much time apart. Fear of something happening without help around. All genuine fears.
But it's over. And all it really took was saying it out loud. Looking each other in the eye and saying, it's OK, we can get up off this couch, get out, move, live and it'll all be OK.
That photo is Sue on top of a ridge high above Phoenix. About 2 hours after that conversation started.
The Year of the Couch is dead!

Once you two make a resolution, you don't waste any time, do you?
Way to rise above fear.
I'm visiting from Write Mind Open Heart Perfect Moment Mondays...
Once you make up your mind, you don't waste any time, do you?
Thanks for sharing your Perfect Moment!
Way to go y'all. Just getting out there and doing it is the very best way to overcome a fear.
Awesome! Sometimes taking that first step is the hardest, but it sounds like you jumped right in! Beautiful view on top of the world!
Thanks everyone. It may sound like we just jumped in .. wasted no time .. but I've been stewing over this for some time.
It was pretty amazing though how quickly we acted as a team once we talked about it together. Yay, teamwork.
Gotta go now. Heading out for a run.
