My personal Olympic moment

my olympic moment, originally uploaded by RobinJP.
I had to get off the couch and go have my own Olympic moment today.

This is a photo of me after a 9-mile bike ride in 102 degree heat. Don't worry, I always turn red. A frozen water bottle pressed on my neck calmed that right down.

I felt strong. I was moving. I am an athlete, just like those on the world stage.

I was really inspired to get moving when the women beach volleyball started. Those women do not have couch-potato bodies.

Robin,
I asked a question before I read your perfect moment piece. I thought I was seeing sunburn and s...... Obviously, you are an athlete! No one but a good athlete can bike any miles in 102 heat in the desert and still be alive! Congratulations! I watched the professional women athletes of both Brazil and America play a beautifully spirited game even if there were errors on one side in particular. Just to see healthy bodies in action doing their best was beautiful to behold.

Thanks for noticing. I am an athlete .. may be a middle of the pack weekend warrior, but I'm out there. It was hot and I turned pink. But it felt good for sure.

Thanks for stopping by.
